It's also unfortunate that my nephew's system is a full PC tower, and is simply not portable.

Assuming that you meant the highlighted text to be a link, I copied and pasted it into a search engine, but that only led me to the same pages that I referred to above instructing people to allow windows to download the driver. As for WIFI, that doesn't appear to be an option either whereas neither my nephew nor myself for that matter has access to any WIFI service, other than through cell phones.
